There's a lot of things that people misunderstand about viruses. One of those thing is how a virus works, a virus (not a computer virus) works in a very amusing way, ill try to explain it as simply as possible, the virus that is in your body injects a cell with its "egg" which is like a copy of himself, before i continue lets all remember what we learned in biology (viruses cant reproduce outside a cell and they are made of DNA and protein), when the "egg" is inside the cell it will start reproducing until that cell pops. When that happens all of the viruses will start infecting other cells and so on.

Capsid- The protein coat that envelopes viral genetic material (its like a protective layer)
